Accio Cake! Celebrating Harry Potter’s Birthday

Let’s be honest, July 31st isn’t just any old day. It’s a day for magic, for wonder, and for remembering that time a baby survived something absolutely bonkers. Yes, folks, it’s Harry Potter’s birthday!

And what better way to celebrate the Boy Who Lived (and the author who dreamed him up) than by… well, pretty much anything Potter-related? Here at the Northeast Regional Library System, we’re firm believers that a bit of wizarding world whimsy can brighten anyone’s day.

So, ditch the Muggle routine and embrace your inner witch or wizard. Re-read your favorite book in the series (we won’t judge if it’s all seven in one go). Challenge your friends to a Harry Potter trivia night. Or, if you’re feeling ambitious, try baking a rock cake – just don’t say we didn’t warn you!

But the best way to celebrate? Visit your local Northeast Regional Library! We’ve got shelves overflowing with Harry Potter books, audiobooks, and maybe even a few hidden magical artifacts (we’re not saying for sure, but keep an eye out). Borrow one and get lost in the magical world all over again.
