Greetings, fellow bibliophiles and emoji enthusiasts! Your friendly neighborhood library system is here to celebrate the most expressive day of the year: World Emoji Day! That’s right, mark your calendars (or, you know, just use the calendar emoji 🗓️) because today-is all about those tiny digital images that speak volumes.

Let’s be honest, emojis have become a universal language. Who needs words when you can perfectly convey your feelings with a simple 😂 or a dramatic 😭? (Okay, maybe words are still important… after all, we *are* a library.) But there’s no denying the fun and efficiency of a well-placed emoji. world-emoji-day is a chance to appreciate the evolution of communication, from hieroglyphics to these modern-day pictograms.

Here at the Northeast Regional Library system, we’re embracing the emoji craze. We’re thinking of hosting an emoji-themed scavenger hunt in Corinth, MS. Imagine deciphering clues made entirely of emojis! 🤔 Sounds like fun, right?
