Meet the Library Staff
Hi! My name is Laura Cavanaugh. I am the new Corinth Library Co-Assistant Branch Manager & the Rienzi Library Branch Manager. I have worked at the Corinth Library since May 2025, as a part-time Circulation Desk worker. (I have been a patron of the library since kindergarten!) I have loved libraries and books my whole life. My dream job was to work at a library, so I am living the dream. My favorite part of the job is working with kids and finding ways to engage them with reading and creativity.
My favorite book is “The Magician’s Nephew” by C. S. Lewis. I have several favorite authors: John Grisham, Matt Dinnaman, C. S. Lewis, Tolkien, Dean Koontz, and Kevin Hearne. I love fantasy books with some action & adventure, mystery, and spooky stories too. My favorite book series right now is the “Dungeon Crawler Carl” series by Matt Dinnamon
I have been married for 21 wonderful years to David Cavanaugh, and we have 3 children. Isaac, age 20; Abby, age 19; and Lizzie, age 13. And we have 2 dogs. We love to travel and have adventures as a family. We love board games, puzzles, and arts & crafts. And we love watching movies.
My favorite quote is a Bible verse: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a mighty harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
